About The 2008 Scholarship Program and Requirements

The Middletown Community Foundation awards scholarships to high school seniors residing in Middletown Township to be used for higher education. The scholarships must be used to pay for tuition and fees to enroll in or attend an educational institution, or to purchase books, supplies and equipment that are required of all students for their course work. In 2008, the Scholarship Committee awarded thirteen scholarships in varying amounts from $750 to $2,000 based on the essays submitted by the entrants.

We are pleased that one student is a recipient of the "Becky Marseglia Volunteer Service Scholarship" to honor Becky's commitment to community service. This student will receive a $2,000.00 scholarship.

The King Family Scholarship is sponsored by State Representative Chris King. This award will be given to a student who meets the Foundation's criteria for community service and resides within the 142nd Assembly District.

We are pleased that students in two area high schools are recipients and wish all our winners the best in their future endeavors. We also hope they continue to participate in community service activities during their college years.
