GATEWAY TO MIDDLETOWN PROGRAM

While driving around Middletown Township lately, you may have noticed the beautiful
new "Welcome to Middletown Township- The Community We're Proud to Call Home" signs at several
intersections. Other signs identifying the Forsythia Gate section of Levittown can be found on
Trenton Road and on Oxford Valley Road. These signs are part of the Foundation's "Gateway to Middletown" project.
For the Gateway program, the Foundation commissioned Middletown resident and artist Franny Drummond
of Drummond Custom Airbrush to design and create the hand-made and hand-painted weather-proof signs.

There are three categories of signs available.
1. "Welcome to Middletown" signs will be placed at the various borders with neighboring municipalities.
2. "Gateway to Middletown" signs will be placed at various interior points such as the exits from Route I-95,
to let visitors know they are within Middletown Township.
3. "Welcome to (section)" signs welcome visitors to the various housing developments or sections throughout
the Township. Each of these section signs will be unique by featuring the dominant house style in the center
of the sign. For example, the Forsythia Gate signs have pictures of a Country Clubber included. Signs for
other sections will feature Jubilees, Pennsylvanians, or Colonials.
Sponsorship Information:
To finance this program, the Foundation is seeking sponsors who will be entitled to have their business
name displayed for a period of one year. Initial sponsors pay for the cost of the sign as follows:
Welcome to Middletown or Gateway to Middletown-- $1350.
Welcome to (Section/Development) sign-- $1650 because they are two-sided.
After the first year, to retain a sponsorship tag, the initial sponsor will be charged $360 a year.
As a part of the sponsorship agreement, the Foundation requires the sponsor to landscape around the sign.
Many opportunities exist for sign sponsorships and the Foundation welcomes all requests from area businesses to
help beautify our community. For further information regarding this program, please contact Paula Kearns,
Executive Director of the Foundation, at 215-750-3899.
